Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has been on the forefront of uplifting both our local and global communities. Since her inception in 1908, our sisterhood has survived the test of time by doing what we do best, by "serving mankind".
For over 40 years, the ladies of Iota Nu Omega (Syracuse graduate chapter), have worked diligently to stay true to our purpose by providing opportunities for unwavering sisterhood, community assistance, and leadership development.
The programmatic theme for this administration is "Launching New Dimensions of Service" and it affords us the opportunities to uplift high school aged students to foster college and career preparedness, collaborate with health organizations such as the Alzheimers Association and the American Heart Association to promote healthier families and communities, and educate on more environmentally sound lifestyles. We have adopted the historic Dunbar Center to renew and revitalize the children's playground. We have provided thousands of dollars to college bound seniors in scholarships. You will see Alpha Kappa Alpha women in every facet of our community, especially in the fields of education, health care, law, and the arts.
Thank you for visiting our website. The ladies of Iota Nu Omega would also like to thank all of our community partners and members who support all of our efforts by either attending our events and/or participating in our fundraisers which support or scholarship efforts and philanthropic goals.
If you are looking for an opportunity to serve, feel free to browse our website for our many events. If you are an Alpha Kappa Alpha member and are looking for a chapter home, contact us for more information on reactivation.
Yours in Service,
Selina Lazarus, President
