Mayor Sharon Owens officially proclaimed January 15th as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Day in the City of Syracuse. This designation coincides with the international celebration of the sorority’s Founders’ Day, marking 118 years of international sisterhood and service.

Welcome to the official website of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Iota Nu Omega Chapter! As the world’s first Black Greek Letter Organization for women, we continue our international legacy of service to all mankind. As a service-based organization, we are devoted to key initiatives, including Strengthening Our Sisterhood, Empowering Our Families, Building Our Economic Wealth, Enhancing Our Environment, Advocating for Social Justice, and Uplifting Our Local Community.
